- Blow-Off Valves (BOVs): To ensure a quick, clean seal, the piston and bore should be cleaned and lightly lubricated every six months.What to use: Use a soft cloth to clean and lubricate the piston with a non-viscous oil (like sewing machine oil or hydraulic oil).What NOT to use: Avoid heavy grease or thick oils, as they can slow down valve operation.
- Wastegates & Boost Controllers: Focus on system integrity. Regularly inspect all vacuum/pressure hoses and fittings for cracks, splits, or leaks, which are critical for precise boost control.
